Before you buy a challenge. Prop firm challenges are paid evaluations, most traders don't pass, and fees are usually not refundable. Funded accounts are simulated and firms can change their rules. Only pay what you can afford to lose, read the firm's full rules first, and check whether paying an overseas firm is allowed where you live.

Our verdict

E8 Markets is a Dallas-based firm founded in 2021 that sells configurable one-step challenges. Gold leverage is low at 1:15, and Trustpilot hid its rating in September 2026 after removing fake reviews.

E8 Markets, formerly E8 Funding, is based in Dallas and has operated since 2021. It has moved away from the classic two-step format towards one-step products such as E8 One, E8 Pro and E8 Signature, several of which let traders adjust the profit target and drawdown to suit their style. That flexibility makes it harder to compare like for like: PropFirmMatch lists the $100K E8 One at $488 with a 9% target, a 4% daily limit and a 6% maximum loss, while the official help centre describes a default of a 6% target, a 3% daily limit and a 4% drawdown that trails the highest closed balance. There is no deadline, as long as one trade is placed every 60 days. Payouts are available about every two weeks, with a best-day rule of 40% and, on some products, caps on each withdrawal and a locked buffer. The profit split can grow to 100% as winning days accumulate. For gold traders, leverage on metals is only 1:15 across all programmes, which limits position size on XAUUSD. On 3 September 2026 Trustpilot removed fake reviews linked to the firm and hid its star rating. That is a consumer-review enforcement step, not a regulatory action.
