ICT silver bullet

Also called silver bullet. What it means, how it looks on a gold (XAUUSD) chart, and the mistake most traders make with it.

ICT silver bullet: The silver bullet is an ICT setup taken in one of three one-hour windows: 03:00–04:00, 10:00–11:00 or 14:00–15:00 New York time. The trader waits for a liquidity sweep, then enters on the first fair value gap toward the opposite liquidity.

ICT silver bullet on a gold chart

At 10:05 New York time gold sweeps the morning low at $4,102, shifts structure, and leaves a 1-minute gap at $4,106–$4,108. A long there targeting the morning high at $4,121 is a silver bullet trade.

How traders use it

Used as a simple, time-boxed model. If no setup appears in the window, there is no trade.

Common mistake

Taking the window as a signal by itself. The time only narrows the search; the sweep and the gap are the setup.
