Important for readers in India. Indian residents may trade forex only through authorised entities on recognised Indian exchanges, in permitted currency pairs. Trading forex, gold or other CFDs with overseas brokers and sending money abroad for margin is not permitted under FEMA, and the RBI's Alert List names many overseas brokers, including several below (marked On RBI Alert List). This page is for readers where these brokers are licensed to serve them. Check the law where you live before opening an account. CFDs are complex, leveraged products and most retail accounts lose money.

Our verdict

FxPro is a long-running FCA and CySEC-regulated broker with a strong choice of platforms including cTrader. Its standard gold spreads are mid-range, and Indian clients are served by an offshore entity.

FxPro was founded in 2006 and is regulated by the FCA and CySEC, with additional entities in South Africa, the Bahamas, Seychelles and Mauritius. According to FxScouts India, Indian residents are currently onboarded under FxPro Markets Ltd in Saint Lucia, which does not offer the investor protections of the UK or EU entities. Gold is available on MT4, MT5, cTrader and the FxPro platform. On the Standard account, BrokerChooser measured the gold spread at about $0.38 in September 2026 and FXEmpire recorded about $0.34, around or slightly above the industry average. The Raw+ account offers raw spreads plus a commission of $3.50 per side ($7 round turn) per lot, although FxPro does not publish an average raw gold spread. Tier-1 retail clients get 1:20 leverage on gold; offshore accounts can access much higher leverage, which raises the risk of large losses. Negative balance protection, segregated funds and swap-free accounts are available. Deposits can be made by bank transfer, card and e-wallets, but UPI and netbanking are not listed. FxPro does not appear on the RBI Alert List, though that is not an RBI authorisation. It suits traders who want platform flexibility from an established group.
