Important for readers in India. Indian residents may trade forex only through authorised entities on recognised Indian exchanges, in permitted currency pairs. Trading forex, gold or other CFDs with overseas brokers and sending money abroad for margin is not permitted under FEMA, and the RBI's Alert List names many overseas brokers, including several below (marked On RBI Alert List). This page is for readers where these brokers are licensed to serve them. Check the law where you live before opening an account. CFDs are complex, leveraged products and most retail accounts lose money.

Our verdict

Fusion Markets is an Australian low-cost broker with some of the tightest gold spreads measured and a low $4.50 round-turn commission. International clients, including Indian residents, are served by its Vanuatu entity, and the brand is on the RBI Alert List.

Fusion Markets launched in 2017 and is based in Melbourne. Australian clients are covered by ASIC, but international clients, including those from India, are onboarded through Gleneagle Securities, regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission, with a Seychelles entity also listed. Its main selling point is cost. On the Zero account, BrokerChooser measured the gold spread at about $0.03 in September 2026, the lowest in its dataset, with a commission of $2.25 per side ($4.50 round turn) per lot. The Classic account builds costs into the spread, but a typical gold figure is not published. Platforms include MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView, and there is no minimum deposit or inactivity fee. Swap-free accounts are available. Leverage on gold is capped at 1:20 for ASIC retail clients but can reach 1:500 offshore, which increases risk. There is no investor compensation scheme, and negative balance protection is clearly stated only for the ASIC entity. BrokerChooser confirms Indian residents can open accounts, but Fusion Markets is named on the RBI Alert List. It suits experienced, cost-sensitive gold traders who understand the trade-off of offshore regulation.
